What you need in your life for April!

My Must Have’s for April

It is finally April! I feel like April is when spring actually begins. Thank God, right? I feel like I have been waiting a lifetime to walk outside and not feel like I am going to die (#minnesotaprobs). In honor of April finally making an appearance, I thought it would be lovely to share a couple (or more than a couple) of my favorite beauty items that I think know are going to be essential in my month of April!

Essie Nail Polish
$8.50
I love having my nails painted. There is just something about painted nails that makes me feel like a total sass-monster. I’m going to be honest… I may have a slight addiction to “name brand” nail polish. The brand Essie has the absolute BEST colors for spring! My three favorite Essie shades for April are Mint Candy Apple (mint color), Full Steam Ahead (lavender color), and Haute as Hello (orange color).

Tarte Amazonian Butter Lipstick in “Tulip”
$16.00
This entire lipstick collection is the bomb.com! I own three of them and I always consider buying the other shades almost every single time that I am in Ulta! The shade Tulip stands out to me for April because it is the perfect lip shade for an easy transition from winter to spring. It is such a beautiful mauvey red rose color that is seriously perfect for spring! It just so happens that anything rose is in for spring 2015! So yay!

Maybelline Color Sensational Rebel Bloom Lipstick in “Barely Bloomed”
$6.00
If you are not into the “bold lip” scene, then go for Barley Bloomed! It is a perfect springy nude!  It is very light in color so it is perfect for a girl who isn’t into a strong lip color! I love it!

Barely Bloomed is on the left and Tulip is on the right.
Tulip photographed a little red FYI.

Makeup Geek Blush in “Romance”
$9.99
I got a couple of Makeup Geek blushes in the mail yesterday and I am the most excited about this one! I put it on and I was in love! Romance is so so so pretty! It is a soft rose color with a hint of shimmer in it. This stuff gives you one hell of a glow.  It is perfect for every skin tone! I can already tell I will be wearing this quite often! “Romance” absolutely romanced me! I’m such a cheese ball… I know.

Makeup Geek Foiled Eyeshadow in “Grandstand”
$9.99
Makeup Geek came out with this collection this winter (Decemberish) and I fell in love! I have a few but I want them all! The shade Grandstand is in my top two favs for the entire collection. It will be making a lot of appearances in my spring makeup looks! “Grandstand” is a beautiful rose gold-foiled eyeshadow and it also has slightly taupey undertones! You can mix it with warm or cool eyeshadows and you can really accentuate the rose or taupe undertones in it! I love this color! Buy it.

P.S. A “foiled” eyeshadow is just an eyeshadow with a foiled or metallic look to it. They are super pigmented!

Makeup Geek Eyeshadow in “Cupcake”
$5.99
I am a Makeup Geek fanatic to say the least. This Makeup Geek eyeshadow is a medium matte pink and it is PERFECT for spring! It is so pretty and soft. It is an ideal transition shade for spring makeup looks! I am highly considering doing a blog on my top Makeup Geek eye shadow’s.

Romance is on the left, Cupcake is in the middle, and Grandstand is on the right.
I told you Grandstand was pretty... I might have to do a look using all three of these!

Fake Bake Flawless Self-Tanning Liquid
$26.50
The only down side of the beginning of warm weather is the fact that my white legs have to make an appearance to the world after like six months of hibernation. Yeah… yikes! However, I found myself a wonderful self tanner, which makes my transition about 10X easier. This stuff always has my back! It gives me the perfect hint of color without me looking orange. Fake Bake is a must have for the warmer weather months, if you try to avoid the tanning beds like me! I love me some Fake Bake.

Macadamia Deep Repair Masque
$20-25
As some of you may know, I recently went from having red hair to having my more natural brown hair. It is no secret that my hair needs a little extra TLC these days. I use this Macadamia Deep Repaid Masque once a week when I am in the shower. I just shampoo my hair like normal, put this stuff in my hair, leave it in for like five minutes or so, and then rinse it out. It smells so good and makes my hair so soft! I feel like people need to start preparing their hair for the pool, lake, whatever. Summer can take a beating to people's hair more than some may realize! I am just trying to get ahead of the ball. I love this masque!

There you have it, my must have’s for April! I hope you go out and try a few of them! Let me know if you like this type of blog and I will continue to do it!

XOXO,
Clarissa
