Happy, happy, HAPPY Saturday! Ugh, it is
finally the weekend! Can you tell I am excited just a little bit?
I started out my
morning by doing six stunning faces of makeup for Prom! It is like the entire New
Ulm area’s prom this weekend, I swear! Why did they decide to put literally
every single prom on the same day? I will never know the answer to that
question! I don’t make the rules… Thank God.
My girls looked absolutely beautiful and they were so fun to be around! I love being a part of their day and making their day be that much more special. It is safe to say that
I spent five hours being in a crazed makeup mindset but I always have the best time.
After my busy morning, I was
thinking that I had to treat myself to something that I enjoyed to do this
afternoon! I think that since a majority of my blog is focused around beauty
that people forget what my one true love is…BAKING.
So, I had to spend my afternoon in the kitchen whipping some stuff up to sooth
my soul.
This afternoon I made
some amazingly flaky and buttery White Chocolate
Chip and Toffee Cookies! Honestly, what is better than a fresh batch of cookies? Probably nothing. I was a little worried that they wouldn’t turn
out because I just kind of tossed some stuff in a bowl and called it a day.
Keep in mind, I am 20 years old and have absolutely no formal training in the
kitchen minus what my mom has taught me. But, hey, these cookies turned out
fricken good! Yay for life!
These are the kind of
cookies that are so buttery and flaky that they are just begging to be paired
with a tall glass of ice cold milk! They are perfect for your Saturday… or
Sunday… or Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. So, try them out! After all, calories don’t count on the weekends!
