Why Is My Weekend Over?

Hello lovelies! Happy Monday! I’m sure some of you out there are not Monday people, which is totally understandable. I personally love Monday's. They are a fresh start to a new week and what’s better than that? Positivity is key! Monday's are usually my “pretty days” (where I actually put myself together) too so that makes my Monday a lot less Mondayish. Seriously, try it! It’s a whole new ball game when you actually look good on a Monday. Look good, feel good, and you could arguably take over the world. I am sad to see the weekend go though. Can I just take a minute to brag about how amazing my weekend was? This past weekend was one of the best weekends of my life. I spent it doing something I love, where I love, and with people I love so I felt like I had to share! Hopefully you don’t die of boredom. ;)

I can say it 5,000 times... I LOVE to do prom makeup. It is right up my alley in terms of makeup because the girls usually want something dramatic and a little bit more on the sexy side. And hello, that’s my makeup style in a nutshell so I am like YASSSSS! Sign me right up!

This weekend was my first weekend of doing prom girlies. A few months ago my friend, Madi, asked me if I could do her makeup for her senior prom. The only issue that I had was the fact that Madison lives like 3.5 hours away from Brookings but, Madison is a super special little lady to me and she has a face of an angel (literally she is my favorite person to put makeup on) so obviously I was like DUH! What’s a bit of a drive, right? So, on Friday, my sister, Anna, and I headed out to Murdo! Thank God we made it because we literally laughed the entire way there and laughing and driving is pretty dangerous. Murdo, my sister, and I go way back! Anna and I used to raise some major hell back in the day so it was fun to go back with her. We actually went to prom out there way back in the day. It was so funny to talk about those memories again on Friday. They do their prom a little differently out there. They have their prom on a Friday night so I had to go to class and get my booty out there real quick! I got there at about 12:30 and we spent all afternoon doing the fun girly stuff and then I had to scurry back to Pierre to get ready and then go back down to Murdo for the night! Busy day!

The first face of makeup I did was Miss Calli's. I had never met her prior to Friday and she walked in the house and I was just like, why the hell does she need makeup? She was so pretty without it! Anyways, I did my job and thank god I did because she looked AMAZEBALLS. We did a grey/brown blown out smokey eye! She has big brown eyes so it was just perfect on her! She looked like a total smoke show. She walked in the bathroom when we were all done and her reaction was priceless! I loved it. I loved her! I will absolutely be making my way out there next year if she wants me to!

Like, hi... She's gorgeous.
She sent me this lovely selfie! Thanks dear!

I purposely left an ample amount of time to get Madison's ready. I had to hook a soul sister up! It was fun once all the girls left and then we could just hang out. My sister did her hair and I did her makeup. It was so fun to do it together. My sister and I would make the perfect team because Anna is like super kick ass at hair and then I am good at makeup. It's perfect! Madi was getting her hair done and her makeup done at the same time, lucky duck! I wish we would of gotten a picture of it because it was such a movie star moment. It was the best! Doing Madi's makeup is honestly so easy because this girl is absolutely beautiful! I could go on and on about her eyelids alone... They are dreamy! I would do her makeup every day if I could. You can put a pound of makeup on her or none at all and she would still look amazing. I don't get it! It makes me such a jellybean! I did an extremely dramatic look on Madison! I did a very smoked out look which was very similar to my prom look in my last blog! I was honestly in awe once I saw her complete look. I literally walked out of the house with tears in my eyes because she looked so stunning. I get so emotional about stupid things... It's embarrassing!

I mean, look at her! SO PRETTY!
We were all standing around the window making her get a perfect selfie!

The best part of the night was when I got the chance to see them all put together at their grand march! I love going to the grand march any time I do prom makeup because I love to see the finished product. You really don't know how they are going to look until they have the dress on. Safe to say they blew me away when I saw them!

Every single girl at the Jones County Prom looked beautiful but my two girlies were my favorite! They both were wearing red too! Such gorgeous girls!
It was so worth the trip!

After the grand march, my sister, my cousin, and I went back up to Pierre for the weekend. Ugh! Anna, Leigh, and I's girl’s weekends are some of my favorite weekends. We just love being around each other. We just relaxed and sat outside on the porch all afternoon and laughed! It was like 80 degree's out that day so it was gorgeous out! Oh, and Leigh and I even got the chance to plant some plants... So domestic we are!

The best part of my day on Saturday was when I got a face time from my sister Rebecca. I knew something was up when she wanted to FaceTime because we never ever ever do that! We had one hell of a time getting it to work too! It was so funny. Right when she called I was like PUT YOUR FINGER UP! Long story short, she got engaged on Saturday! I don't think I have ever smiled so big when I saw that ring on her finger! I was such a bawl bag. It was such a special moment. I will never forget it. I still get all teary eyed when I talk about it.

That was a picture we all took together over our FaceTime!
Look how happy they look!

My sister has been dating that cool cat for like seven years so we knew it was coming... We were all just waiting! Some more patiently than others... I'm talking to you, ANNA! ;) They are an amazing couple and I can't wait to see their future together... Or Rebecca in a wedding dress. Congratulations Rebecca and Anthony! I love you both so much!

So, there is my amazing weekend in a nutshell! My heart is so full of love after this weekend. There is nothing more important than your friends, your family, and doing the things you love. I was lucky enough to get them all thrown into one this weekend! I am so blessed.

Upcoming this week I will have another step-by-step look! I am feeling rather inspired from all the red dresses so stay posted!

Also, I am always scheduling appointments and days for makeup! So, contact me for business inquires because nothing makes me happier than making people feel beautiful!

Thanks for reading!

Xoxo,

Clarissa
