Three Egg-Cellent Easter Gift Ideas

Welcome back!

This entire blog is dedicated to one of my FAVORITE holidays, Easter! I don’t know what it is but I just die for everything Easter. I love the colors, I love the fun eggs, I love the candy, I love everything! And not to mention… Jellybeans are back! I love jellybeans more than anything. I blame a lot of the jiggle on my butt to jellybeans.

I am the person who gives gifts for literally every single little thing that I can. I love making people feel loved and happy. It takes two seconds to make someone's day! I may go a little over kill sometimes but it is just how I am! I am a chronic “over gifter” and I don’t even care! Do you think they have some sort of an addiction program for people who give gifts for too many reasons? Because if they do, I might have to go!

So, with me being the chronic over gifter that I am, I give Easter gifts to people! Some people might ask why and I ask why the hell not?!? Any who, I made three Easter gifts all without using a basket! Let’s be real, those little baskets are WAY to over priced and some of them are just straight up hideous. So, I kicked the basket idea to the curb and came up with some other things.

Let’s start for the gift I made for a little girl.

Thing’s I Used:
Twine
Mini Watering Can ($6 from Hobby Lobby)
Tootsie Pop Bundle
Mini Packet of Starburst Jelly Beans
Socks ($1 from Target)
Tissue Paper
Cardstock Paper
Fun Scissors

What You Do:
Fill the watering can with tissue paper, place the candy in the watering can, then throw a cute little label on and you’re done! I made my label on the computer, printed it out on cardstock paper, and cut it up with a designed scissors!

This is perfect for your niece, cousin, Goddaughter, whoever! You can literally make this for less than $5! The most expensive part of mine was the watering can BUT Target has some in their $1 section! I already bought mine before I noticed them at Target! I know that my little love bug of a cousin/niece LOVES to help in the garden and I just thought that this little watering can was the cutest thing I have ever seen. It is perfect for little girls!

The label says "Have an Egg-Cellent Easter!"

Gift I made for my friend.

Thing’s I Used:
Mason Jar and Lid
Tissue Paper
“Barley Bloomed” Maybelline Rebel Bloom Lipstick (perfect spring nude)
“Fifth Avenue” China Glaze Nail Polish (one of my favorite shades)
Twix Egg
Cadbury Egg
Twine
Fabric
Cardstock Paper
Fun Scissors

What You Do:
Grab your Mason jar, put tissue paper, fill it with the nail polish, lipstick, and candy, put twine around the rim of the jar with your label, put fabric over the top, then put the cap on! Done! Easy and simple!

This one was more expensive because of the lipstick and the nail polish! Like I said, you can fill it with what you want! You also don’t need to buy $7 nail polish.

This gift can be for your sister, your friend, your daycare lady, your super amazing co-worker, whoever! Most people are probably thinking “who the hell gets their friend something for Easter?” and that is totally fine! I am just giving you guys some options. And side note, I have some pretty AMAZING friends so they deserve some love. Like, I said… chronic over gifter… chronic over gifter…

The label says "Have an Egg-Cellent Easter!"

Gift for your boyfriend or husband.

Let’s just throw this out there right away because I am sure some people are like “Clarissa has a boyfriend?!?” and the answer is no! I made an Easter gift for my non-existent boyfriend to help all of you guys out in the love world! It takes one little thing like this to make your boyfriend or husband think that you are the best damn thing in the world! Gotta keep that romance alive people! I always say I should be a relationship counselor. New career path on the horizon? I think so!

Things I used:
Tin Thing ($10 from Hobby Lobby)
News Paper
Tissue Paper
Grain Belt Beer (Hometown pride!)
Oreo’s
Candy
Beef Jerky
Double Sided Tape
Cardstock Paper
Fun Scissors

What You Do:
Grab your tin thing, fill it with newspaper, maybe even stuff it with some other stuff, cover up the newspaper with tissue paper, fill it with all of your things you bought, make your little sign and tape it to the front! Boom. Best girlfriend of the year award goes to you!

If there is one thing I know, it's that most guys like candy, Oreos, beef jerky, and they LOVE beer (if he is 21).  You can fill it with what ever your boyfriend likes! He likes fishing? Go get him some lures! He has a certain type of candy he loves? Go out and buy that candy! Want to know another way to melt his heart? Scratch the Oreo’s and actually make him homemade cookies! The guy would probably keel over and die from excitement if you made him cookies rather than bought them.

Also, the reason why I bought the tin thing is because I know guys dig the whole “night with the bros” idea and now your boyfriend can throw some ice in the tin thing and fill it with beer and hey, less trips to the fridge on guy nights! There ya go babes!

I may have to give this gift away to one of my friends for their boyfriend because it turned out too damn cute!

The label says "Happy Easter to an Egg-Cellent boyfriend!"

There you go! Three cute, affordable, and fun Easter gifts! Like I said, there are so many options that a person can do with these gifts! You can mix and match or completely change them! You can add some ribbon if you want to, you can  say screw the ribbon like I did. You can make them more expensive, you can make them less expensive! The options are endless! These are just some ideas! I have many more ideas for things like teacher gifts, class gifts, and what not! Don't be shy to ask! I got a lot of crafty knowledge up in my brain!

Have an “EGG-CELLENT” Easter!

Clarissa

Easy as Pie Make-Up Look

Good morning, sunshine!

It's Saturday! Yay!Today, I am to show you all step-by-step on how I do my makeup when I either don’t have a lot of time or when I don’t want to spend a lot of time doing it. I only wear a “full face” of makeup maybe a few times a week! I look like I am homeless about 98% of the time and I am completely okay with that.

I am going to be using all of the products that I mentioned in my “Being Beautiful on a Budget: Drugstore Cosmetics 101” blog. I use drugstore stuff when I am not doing anything important. I guess I don’t really see the point in using my expensive makeup if I am not going to be doing anything special It just seems silly to me! I gotta save up my good stuff for those days when I go all out!

Also, I take full responsibility for some of these ugly ass selfies that are down in the step-by-step! I apologize! Lord knows that some days are better than others when it comes to the selfie world. Today was just one of those days. I miss my big window back in Brookings!

So, let's get started on how to achieve a simple and more natural look.

Step One:
I always apply my makeup on a CLEAN and MOSTURIZED face! This is so so important. I will wash my face, put mostiurizer on, and then wait like ten minutes to start on my makeup!

Step Two:
I apply my liquid foundation. I am using L’Oreal True Match. I mix two together so I mix them together on the back of my hand, put little dots all over my face, and then PRESS it into my skin with my Real Techniques Expert Face Brush. Pressing in your makeup rather than dragging it over your face will help make it stay and also look more natural. I do drag it on my neck though to make sure I don't have any lines.

Step Three:
I go over my entire face with a DAMP beauty blender. I put it under the sink, squeeze it a few times, and then squeeze it out in a towel for like a minute. Also, if you don't know what a beauty blender is, please feel free to let me know and I can give you all the details about the miracle worker called the Beauty Blender!

Step Four:
I apply my concealer in a triangle. Applying your concealer in a triangle is the correct way to apply concealer. I apply it in a triangle and then I will then tap it out with my ring finger (your ring finger has the least pressure). After that I go in again with my beauty blender and blend it out if I need too. I used the Maybelline Age Rewind as my concealer.

One eye is blended out in this picture and one eye is not!
Step Five:
Put powder where you put your concealer (under your eyes) or where you get shinny! I used a L’Oreal True Match Powder!

Step Six (Optional):
I lightly filled in my brows with my L'Oreal Brow Stylist Designer Eyebrow pencil. I didn't even really need to do this but I did it anyways. One thing to keep in mind when you are doing your eyebrows is that you can try and try and try to make them identical but your eyebrows will never be identical. It is how it is. It would be amazing if they could be identical but they are not! Mine are totally different! One has a lot of arch too it and then one is just lazy and doesn't want to arch at all. I fight with them all the time and I just gave up.

This is the brow situation!
They were not perfect today but that’s okay!

Step Seven:
Grab the N.Y.C. Smooth Skin Bronzing Face Powder in 720A and with a big fluffy brush apply some on your temples, on the outside of your cheeks, on your neck, and a little on your chin if you want. You can also put a little hint of it on the sides of your nose. I don't get too crazy with this step because I don't want to look over done. I don’t want it to look like I just got back from Mexico… I just want to add some warmth and definition to my face!

Step Seven:
Go in with the Sonia Kashuk Large Dome Shadow Brush and apply the same N.Y.C.Bronzer directly into your crease and just blend, blend, blend, and blend some more again! This step will help to make your eyes look more awake! I have little eyes so this is something I ALWAYS do.

Step Eight:
Apply some black eyeliner on your upper waterline! This step will not only help make your eyes look bigger but it will also make your eyelashes look fuller! I used L'Oreal Extra-Intense Eyeliner... I like this stuff more than the stuff I mentioned in my other blog. Sorry guys!

Step Nine:
Curl your lashes and apply as many coats of mascara as you feel necessary! I apply three! The mascara I used was the Cover Girl LashBlast Volume and the Maybelline Volum' Express the Colossal Cat Eyes.

Step Ten:
Apply some blush directly onto the apples of your cheeks. I used the Cover Girl Classic Color blush in Soft Mink.

Step Eleven:
Apply some gloss and lipstick! You can just apply gloss if you want, you can just apply some chapstick if you want, or you can apply nothing if you want! I wore Revlon Super Natural with Revlon Pink Cognito! I love love LOVE this color combo.

Additional Step:
Go in with a huge fluffy brush and just go over your face to blend all of your things together. This will help if you have any harsh lines around your face!

And you're done! Easy as pie!

Finished look! Yes, I am wearing my pajama pants!

Thank you guys so so much for reading!

I will have blogs coming this week which will include ideas for Easter gifts, a craft, and a few recipes!

Have a great Saturday!

Xoxo,

Clarissa
